    1 x 3/16" unspoken for and 2x 10 gauge unspoken for.

Will be welding and cleaning them up in the next day or two; just kind of slow taking care of a newborn :burp:

    Didn’t come out of a Tacoma, I meant it’s a Toyota LSD w/5.29 8.4 diff.

It'd be from a 1st Gen Tundra; I know @Empty_Lord has an LSD in his Tundra rear end (OEM).

But no I can't confirm as I'm not familiar at all with their 3rd members.

Isn't the width the same though?

I'd take the whole rear housing, clean up the mounts, and do a shock relocation with 63' leaf pack in the back.

If it's out of a first gen tundra, those didn't have real LSDs. They had a feature called Auto LSD which basically mimicked an LSD through the ABS from my understanding.

Yes all non lockers in the 1st gen Tacoma/1stbfen tundra/2ndgen taco are 8.4s and will swap no problem.

Yours is from a 2nd gen taco to have a true LSD which was only made for 4 years I think.

Clutch-type LSDs were an option, just not common: https://www.tundras.com/threads/whats-in-your-rear-end.42904/

All I know is he said it’s Toyota LSD with 5.29 and it came out a x-runner. He had it geared with the 5.29 and used it on his LT pickup till 9”. Picking up just the third. Needs no powa stat!!!

5.29s are awesome. So much torque. Power wise need the supercharger to make it scream past 3k. Still just gears is awesome. Both is amazing though.

Because we are in the pursuit of speed! The small tire will help at the drag strip to improve on our 16.6 @ 85mph we had with the 2.2" pulley and 35s. The LS engine I'm building should be good for 400 hp before I throw nitrous at it, which should get us into the 13s. Yes, I am LS swapping the Tacoma and hope to breach 100 mph in the quarter. As far as I've seen, that hasn't been done with a 4x4 Tacoma, ever. Before that engine goes in I want to see how much I can muster out of the 5vz with the supercharger. We have a few months to go but I recommend following the thread below as I work my way through this iteration of the green truck.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ls-swapping-a-4x4-tacoma-chasing-100mph.801870/

I told my wife we would be ditching the 35s for good but I'm not sold now. Kinda want to keep them around for DD duty and the stockers for track duty. I don't feel a huge difference in the seat but if the times are there I may stick to the smaller rubber.

Got the truck back on stock suspension. I want to go a bit lower, especially in the rear but I think this is a good improvement. Rear also needs softened as it's way to stiff but overall it's coming along.
    PXL_20230603_173903470.jpg

Rear shocks were well sized to the studs, lots of wd and prying wasn't getting far so I used the 15k winch on the van to pursue them. Sometimes my genius knows not bounds.
