I have joined the Taco world by way of my love for a manual transmission. My 2018 Subaru Forester (the last year they offered it with a manual) needed a new clutch and brakes. So it came down to repair or replace. My choices between replace were a Subaru WRX or a Taco. Since we already have a VW Golf R (good thing my wife likes a manual too) in the garage, it made sense to go with a Taco instead. And here we are. Aside from a couple of issues still getting worked out, it's been pretty good so far.

I took the predator side steps off, since they made it look like a camper with steps left hanging out and driving down the road. I am looking for a suitable replacement. I am considering rock sliders, but am hesitant on the intrusiveness of the installation, especially since I have no plans on taking this off pavement, even here in Florida.

I am also considering getting it re-geared. 5th gear is pretty much worthless.

The head unit does not hear any voice commands or sound while on the phone. They have already replaced the microphone, and are now waiting to try replacing the head unit.

My wife and I swear the front wheels have positive camber, but the shop says they couldn't be any straighter, according to their measurements.

And then getting it insured properly has been a run-around. After being with one company for over 20 years, I actually switched because they would not value it anywhere close to market price.

    Otherwise, it rides real nice!
