these little amps are awesome. this'll be my 4th project with something similar. this one went faster just mounting the box as previous audio projects i desoldered and extended all the knobs for remote control...

this one is going to be ran off an m18 battery. current plan is a small repurposed vizio sub on the lower shelf, with some dayton audio exciters stuck to the top lid for 360 degree annoyance. i mean audio.

this is really just the beginning. i can't leave anything alone! yes, i'm an expert at turning a simple $200 HF service cart into a $1,000 service cart... my other simple 3-shelf service cart got 8" pneumatic wheels and a reinforced frame to support them...

i did briefly start going down a rabbit hole of adding a 150w outlet to the tool cart with a remote-mounted battery, and integrated usb charging, as well as some lighting, but it was getting really excessive and overtly showy for my needs. i really only require usb charging and audio, so i'm trying to keep it simpler at utilizing the oem milwaukee usb m18 plug-on pack--it technically does everything i currently need. it's just not as sleek as an under-cart-mountable battery pack adapter, and i still might end up changing that to save on upper cart storage, as well as offer sleeker wire management.

currently in the research phase is different wheels, soft-close drawer slides, as well as adding an . i briefly considered upgrading to the 5 drawer cart instead of my cheaper 4 drawer cart, but the drawer lock mechanism on the 5 drawer drives me insane, for minimal added tool storage space. also considered adding a 2nd folding shelf to the cart, but i don't need the folding capability of the shelf and the additional drawers and stowage space for tools while also offering a solid table top surface are what i'd end up utilizing more of...

the end cabinet consideration is how the amp ended up being integrated into the side support as it is-- that side is where the end cabinet will go if/when i go that route.

no one ever builds what i really want, so i build it myself!

Decided to try out these SPC spring compressors based on the recommendation of @Shmellmopwho a bit back. Got some Fox 2.5's waiting to be installed so we'll see how the compressors handle the 700lb springs. Probably not 100% needed, but the instructions state to use a compressor when adjusting preload. Molded case has some indentations that jumped out at me...

That's a storage spot for a safety bracket that some kits come with.

My old creeper finally gave up the ghost, so I had to make a Harbor Freight run over the weekend.

    upload_2023-6-8_22-14-28.jpg

Picked this new Icon one up, pretty happy with it. It has metal plates at the top so you can attach magnetic lights to it, also available at HF.
The padding is nice and comfortable, but it does grab at you/your clothes when twisting and turning.

    upload_2023-6-8_22-17-14.jpg

They had tire chokes on sale for $5 so I picked up a few extra. Left them outside for a couple of days to air out/off gas so they didn't stink up the entire garage.

    upload_2023-6-8_22-20-4.jpg

And finally got a battery powered craftsman ratchet at Lowes.

Who said i was honest?? LMAO

I didnt get into it too much but initially its a pretty nice unit. I need to learn how to use it but i think i updated the TSB for my tacoma lol I got it mostly for my VW project car but yea seems good so far.
I did have to update the device along with the different vehicle manufactures. I realized that i didnt need most of them as i will never work on a Daewoo or Peugeot, etc. So just updated the typical cars manufactures in the system. Ill keep you posted when i do stuff with it

Can you calibrate steering angle sensors and bleed abs with it? Those are the two functions I need, but don't want to spend $3k + yearly subscription for the snap on one
