My 2004 Tacoma reverts to heating any time I restart the engine or change anything on the control panel. I have to turn the temp knob back and forth a time or two to get the heat to turn off. At about the same time it started doing that, I started smelling a slight electrical burning smell in the cab. My mechanic says the control panel is loosing its memory and needs to be replaced at $650. Does that sound right?
