Winched out 2 jeeps this weekend because these idiots thought their jeep could make it through some deep snow drifts.

One guy was behind us and bitching why it was taking so long as I was the first one punching through the trail for my brother and cousin. He was riding my brothers 4runners ass and almost rear ended him. We make it to our campsite and the dude goes back through drift but not smart enough to use the tire tracks we made. He goes "oh I thought my jeep could make it". Winched him out, and he drove over my winch line when I told him not to. I unhooked him and he drove off, not even stopping to say thank you.

New roof vent on camper is not leaking a drop. Good rainy day for that little test.
New bike is all shined up and ready to ride. Bad rainy day for that.

Cupholder that is big enough to hold a 32oz water bottle.
Looking to trade the TRD OR taillights currently on my truck for SR version. Perfectly good condition with no cracks, broken tabs, etc.

have this one - looking to trade for this one -

tried to post on the CO trading post, don't have the 50 posts required. Guess I'm a man of few words.

Those old bags cleaned up pretty good.

And inside the bags were the stock risers for the handlebars, so that was a nice surprise. also had new rubber bushings for the mounts.

Adjusted the brake pedal and the foot pegs, fixed a very loose shifter lever and now i can comfortably reach everything with my hobbit like extremities and shift like a boss.
Getting ins and plates tomorrow, have a new carb being delivered Tuesday.

Does anyone have Tech stream? I swapped the tranny in my Camry and I think I need to reset the TCM.

I have Techstream v14.x on the laptop and have both an HP Tuners dongle and official/authentic Tactrix. Not sure what years Camry v14 supports - you'd have to look that up.

It looks like v14 is only for vehicles 2019 and newer. Mine is 2011

I think it's the other way... It doesn't support anything newer than 2019. It works on my 2015 Tacoma and my dad's 2005 Tacoma.

Robbed a few parts from the old '90 Sporty carb, cleaned both jets, replaced the accelerator pump diaphragm, and now it purrs.
Prolly send the new carb back right after I get a chance to ride it and make sure it does good under load and shit.
Now i have to wait until Wednesday for a plate since Larimer County no longer does walk ins and an appointment to sit and wait for an hour is now required.

After it was hooked up, it promptly started dumping gas everywhere, shut the gas off, bopped the side of the bowl with a screwdriver handle a few times, and re-seated the valve/float stuff. That did the trick.

I didn't know any were still carbed in '14. My '03 is FI. There were carbed versions then but I thought they were phasing them out.

Edit: Everything I can find says all Harley carbs were gone in '07. Is this a custom or did it get a new motor or something?

So this is actually a 2001. The ad was listed as 06, but I figure it out from the experian report. Was not a deal breaker.
Harley started offering FI in 1995 as an option. I would avoid the early FI as they had problems with it. That was all ironed out by 2007 or thereabouts.
My 2012 Softail was FI. did not really like it. Couldn't do anything with it, sounded like a Honda, and to make it sound like a Harley with the potato-potato lope was expensive. ran nice and smooth, just never liked the sound. That solid mount, balanced engine was a plus though. This is rubber mounted and will prolly need swing arm bushings. If they are worn, you might get the death wobble at certain speeds. Softails don't have that problem.
I knew it was a project bike when I bought it, I enjoy working on them almost more than riding them.

After pulling the carb apart again, looks like the needle and seat are a bit worn. To be expected after 22 years i suppose. Sangers opens tomorrow, I bet he's got a kit for it. Could use a new bowl gasket anyway. Maybe a new choke cable since this one is broken. Everything else is metal, that stupid cable has a plastic threaded portion and it was broken. Still work, just flops around.
Biggest problem was clogged jets. After spending a day flushing the tank, i was so high on gas fumes I didn't feel like a carb rebuild, so ordered a new one. Had today off and opened up the carb and decided it was worth a try. Might keep the new one for a spare. It was cheap af.

Got it insured today, have to wait until Wednesday for the plate and title transfer. Then I'll get to ride it farther than the end of the driveway and find out.

Nice. This guy sounds like he's as anal as I am with my bike. He probably took really good care of it. Nice find.
