Just got this one back together, oddly enough it has a very nice running Kaw in it.

I found the pump seal for $6 here in town. New oil and filter and she will put slivers in your ass if the seat was wood! Both pumps have all the power they are supposed to have.

$6 vs $2k. What a shame the previous owner was sold poor or plain lying info.

What is your opinion on the Kawasaki engines?

I like them. As long as you put an aftermarket tachometer on them you're okay. For some reason they like to over rev when they get older so I put a tack on them that way I can keep a track of the speed of the engine.

 

Yes, it does. I have to make 3 passes (over 15 feet of cutting) with the discharge pointing away from anything I don't want covered in clippings. Also, because of the power, I don't worry too much about how long it gets. I've never figured it out exactly, but I mow around 9 acres, usually split over 2 days. Takes about 4-4½ hours in total. I've never really timed it either.

 

You should turn on your walking app. It will tell you how many miles of mowing you do and how long it takes. If you can track your fuel usage, you can figure out how many gallons to acre you get.

I should care, but I have never been one to keep track of such things.

I have noticed my step counter picks up when I mow, but I've never tried to decipher the info. As far as fuel consumption goes, it takes very close to a tank (which I think is 25 litres) to mow everything. I remember last summer when gas was $2 a litre, it was $50 to cut the grass. I'm in therapy to try to forget all that.

I do know when fuel got way expensive, near $5/gallon, it got painful doing all this mowing. Remember I have to trailer the mower all over too.

 

A liter is the same as a quart, but with the belt loosened after a heavy meal...

Usually I convert to your language, in that case, I was just being lazy. Last summer gas was about $6.50 of your money for one of your gallons, at my house.

It’s being offered in a mower I’m looking at and wasn’t familiar with their non two wheeler motors.
Used to the older, more traditional manufacturers.
