    Are they all “in channel”??

I am not seeing any “stick on” AVS ventguards. I wanted ones like in this pic I’ll post.

Doesn’t seem to be any like this for the Taco.

If there are… somebody point me in the right direction.

Note, they will be in-channel for the Tacomas. That appears to be the only offering in the low profile type for that model.

I thought about the stick on, but the in channel seem to look better....

My brother has the stick on kind and has had issues with the tape.... In channel seem far more secure...

I have in-channels on mine (not the low pros though) and they are great. I've no issue with them, and the AVS brand is very affordable!

IMO in channel is the only way to go. Stick on look a bit “goofy” to me and eventually the double sided tape will start to fail.

    My in channel AVS:

I was going to get the AVS in channel, but the shop that tinted my windows said that they have seen a few Tacoma's where the tint was messed up at the tops of the windows because of the tighter fit when the window is up. Seeing the pictures and reading more has me debating on trying them out. I just don't want to ruin my tint.

My front windows are tinted. My tint at the top is not messed up at all, been couple years now.

Thanks for the info. Maybe the people that had their tint messed up didn't install them correctly? I really do love the looks of those, especially on a black truck.

Those are the in channel $45 dollar ones, not the low profile ones for $60 listed on their website, correct?

    You are welcome!

I don’t understand how a thin layer of tint can create issues.

Unless you have small rocks/debris stuck to the tint or visors, I don’t see how it can mess the tint up.

Thanks guys. Good info. Was hoping for stick ons like in the pic…. I’ve never had a problem with them sticking for a long time when prepped right. My father n laws have been on his avalanche 21 years and don’t show any signs of coming off

he selling it finally but I like the way his new ones looked in my original post.

I’ll just order the in channels. I had some on my FJ. Worked fine I guess.

here’s the 21 year old Avs vent visors still sticking on the avalanche lol

I don’t see how, either. I’ve seen plenty of trucks with them and tinted windows. Figured I’d ask someone who has them just to make sure.
