2010 tacoma o/r, so I have no blanks for accessories. I dislike switchpro or auxpod solutions, as I'd like to have my switches IN the dash.

I'm thinking of replacing the tall oem rr diff lock and dac switches with a single custom engraved dual function, something like the link below. This would give me 4 free switches where foglight and rr dif lock currently are (minus one to replace fog).

    Any help would be great!

Under the climate controls I want to replace the aux with a dual usb charger (recommendations?) and in the center will be my aux reverse lights.

I pulled the fog switch and made measurements. This should solve the typical communication/fitment issues with overseas vendors. At least I'm going to tell myself that tonight when I try to sleep.

Check out https://www.ch4x4.com/ they have a lot of switch options that may work for you. You can even customize them to fit your needs.

Agreed! I found they have both short and tall dual/split switches and are a reputable company. I was actually about to post the link here. I will contact them about custom etching and backlight colors, but I need to figure out my wiring harness first.

I would be OK cutting the factory harness and hardwiring, but it would be much cleaner and possibly even easier to make an adapter harness for the illumination power. To do that I will need to find a suitable connector for the factory harness, and then I can install the pins needed for power/illumination which would be hardwired to the new harness which comes with the switches.

I may consider doing the same to the momentary switches, but I couldn't find dual momentary switches on ch4x4.

I would agree. I've been contemplating the same issue and would feel more comfortable doing some kind of conversion harness to keep the factory harness untouched.

The dual momentary are only under the "custom switches" category and from there you can choose on/off or momentary switch type.

alright, email out and waiting to hear back from ch4x4 now. I asked for custom etching and lights on both switch sizes. (I want to move the a-trac away from the center to give me blanks for usb chargers, antenna wiring, or anything else I may want in the future)
unfortunately I won't have time to figure out the stock harness connector for a few days at least. If the center dash comes out as easily as the left side, then adding a tap to the factory pin might be the way to go. Its a shame the connector on the switches are part of the housing or else I could just source the connector from those.
