Roof mounted gun rack

    If you pull the head liner clips found just above the back half there is holes that go to the roof frame. I bolted to them with tee nuts

    I’ve seen weapons come loose in a weapons cage mounted in a vehicle before. I think a good floor mounted somewhere in the vehicle is better than on the roof. That’s just my opinion though.

    It's a good, valid point. If it was to come loose that would be very bad.

    I forgot to mention that the picture is deceiving the cable lock is not the primary holding device, there is a detent in the magazine well block that engages with the mag release.

    I don't leave one in mine overnight, but I also live in a rather calm area. If it's up on the ceiling it is pretty hard to see, even if you know what your looking for. If I tuck the sling up, there isn't even a silhouette. Adding a cable lock through the magazine well and the mounting bracket should help keep people from taking it easily.

    I think its bighorn racks that makes a 1 or 2 gun ceiling rack with brackets that replace the back grab handles above the windows as a turnkey kit.
