yeah, considering some of the other cars I've seen around, either once or on a semi-regular basis, you'd think a mere Ariel Atom would have fallen in somewhere. But no dice

I've seen a brand new 2022 Ford GT delivered down the street. Guy a couple streets down with a Huracan and Murcielago. regularly passing I8's, Ferraris, R8's, GT3s, etc on the freeway. Couple guys with Koenigseggs a bit north, someone brought a Bugatti Divo to the OC Cars and coffee last weekend too.

 

If you’ve ever driven a small convertible, it’s the same principle: “sporty open air fun”. I had a Miata for a while and it was always way more enjoyable to drive than any other car I had driven. Still doesn’t match the feeling of riding a motorcycle, but there’s an appeal for some people with the implied safety of having a seatbelt (as misplaced as that feeling is). Personally, I’d rather drive a Miata again or hop on the bike.

 

surprisingly, a Koenignegg dealership opened near me, like within 7 miles of my house. Says something right?

I havent been to a cars and coffee in a while. Katie's Cars and Coffee is usually at 5am on a Saturday, so its hard for me to get motivated to get up and go there lol. But heres a video that I found recently:

Yeah I don't go too often, there aren't any real large ones here in San Diego, the OC one is about an hour's ride and goes from 8-10 on Saturdays, so depends what my Friday night looks like.

When I drag the K100RS out, I wave (or do the two fingers down, really) to anyone on anything less than four wheels. Just seems the right thing to do. HD riders are about 50/50 on waving back. The ones who never respond are Goldwing drivers. Not sure what their problem is, don't really care. I wave to them anyway.

 

A very long time ago, I saw a Pagani convertible (before smartphones) and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Since then, havent seen one. The Koenigseggs are cool as well, but I think a Pagani would take my hat.

A friend of mine goes to this dealership to photograph their cars, but I think he said they never have any in stock. Maybe the rich folks dont know how cool they are yet. There are plenty of Mclarens around though (Lambo/Mclaren/Ferrari dealership also close by)

Man now that you mention it I haven't seen a Pagani in quite some time. used to see one running around town every now and then but it's been a while. Do see quite a few Mclarens around though

There's also someone in my current neighborhood, as well as a different person in my old neighborhood, both of whom have cherry previous gen NSX's. one red, one in a nardo grey

 

I had planned on going this past weekend since my bike isn't broken anymore, but alas I settled for car spotting from my favorite coffee/acai spot on PCH in Huntington. My normal Saturday route is C&C then take the 73 towards PCH and up to Huntington for breakfast/coffee. Bummed I missed the Divo, but there's always something neat to see at that C&C.

 

The last cars and coffee I did go to, the guy had a purple NSX. I think it was a 91? He bought it from a guy who daily drove it, so it had higher mileage, but it was dealer maintained. He said it was a super rare color

 

We should link up one of these weekends to meet there then hit a ride nearby. @PhoenixFire can join us too if he's free, i believe @nd4spdbh is in the are as well? TW Group ride?

 

bet that was a beauty. purple can be hit or miss but not on those NSX's

Got $2200 for it! Listed it for $2500 wanting $2200, then lowered to $2300 hoping for $2k and the guy still paid me $2200.

I wave at anyone on a scooter, motorcycle and even the can am. I don’t always get a wave back but those are mostly Harley riders. I am surprised how many Harley riders do wave when I am on the grom or monkey. We are all enjoying two wheels.
