All the oem ones off old toyotas all have the 'M' stamp.

So simple in design they should last forever.
Unfortunately on 2rz/3rz they put it right behind the fuel filter.

And because replacing the fuel filter is the No. 1 guess fix......
    here we are.......

My guess is buying a cheap knockoff.....your getting a plastic connector that wont hold up to heat/time sitting on the side of block......it'll get brittle and break much faster the oem.....
Bet that's some of what's going on with these suddenly breaking....
......just like the one in OP's original post.....

Cheapest oem online one was $130........its very tempting to get the $15 ebay one......sure....

I bet the professional mechanics are very weary of these......break em all the time.....
Doubt they'll replace with a $200 one........but may accidently charge you the $200 price....

Alright got matsushita knock sensor installed. Timing at 12degrees at 702rpm idle. Was unable to notice a miss anymore. Fuel trims close to zero. No cel after several miles and complete obd drive cycle. Call it fixed
