    I’ve got a 2006 TRD sport double cab. 430000km
    First new vehicle I ever bought and never a regret!
    My boys are learning to drive this truck now( they’re 9) and want them to be driving it at 16.

    I have an intermittent problem with the voltage regulator on my alternator so I’m replacing that. A local Toyota dealer detected a 1V drop on the alternator to battery cable so I’m replacing that too. ( ouch, expensive). It’s an octopus.
    Anybody done this before? Anything to watch out for.?

    I'd make sure that is correct before jumping off that cliff.

    Clean connections and cable ends might solve that.

    And if the alternator / regulator hasn't been corrected, I'd not trust the cable measurements yet.

    @Dm93 ? @TnShooter ?

    I missed your tag yesterday.
    I agree, it could simply be corrosion in a connection.
    What symptoms are you having exactly anyway?

    I missed your tag too.
    If you edit your post, then tag someone, it won’t notify them.
    If that’s what you did, that’s why we missed it.

    I can’t add any more to what Dm93 said.
    Check the cables. And why did you have the alternator checked?
    Did the battery light come on?
