So I finally got around to replacing 2/3 universal joints. I need to rent an impact wrench to complete the carrier bearing. Definitely learned my lesson in being prepared on this one. DIdn't have all of the sockets I needed to tap out the old bearings, really took some hammering. But already an improvement. Still need to replace the rear U-Joint and the carrier bearing. Hoping that truly solidifies the drive line.

    Yeah.
Did you get a replacement nut for the driveshaft? It's a staked nut, you may be able to re-use the old one, but they are pretty cheap from the dealer. A bench vise on a sturdy bench to hold the driveshaft and a breaker bar usually can break it loose, but yeah, it's a tough one.

I did get a replacement nut and washer from the dealer. We put a breaker bar inside of an old pipe for additional leverage, the breaker bar snapped at the ratchet fitting. I got the Yost 465 vise, and that did great. Hopefully that in conjunction with the impact wrench and we can get 'er done. First big repair job for me, pretty proud so far.

Finally did it! The driveshaft yoke was a PITA too get off to access the center support bearing. Job is done though and so much smoother!

Seriously! Took a solid 30 minutes of hammering to get that yoke off. First drive after though was real smooth.
