    Hi all, my beloved 2006 with 240K needs a new compressor and mechanic quoted $800. Does that sound about right? I'm hoping to keep the truck until at least 300K miles. Then, just a few days ago, the truck started making a whining noise that goes up and down with the RPM. At first, it was pretty noticible, now it's just in the background. Any idea what that is and does it sound expensive? Thanks for your help...
