Good morning. Yes this work week has been going by quickly but end of day I've been mostly:bananadead:
Thinking now we're working 10 hr shifts, I'm up a little before 4 AM then home ~5:15 PM , doesn't leave more than a couple hours to do much before bedtime.
I&C technician brought this to me yesterday asking if I can make a tool like this but overall length of 5".
I told him I could work on it, and this tool won't be needed until end of 2024 but he's got some kind of action to get something done.20230609_054225.jpg

Whew couple hairy days of bad weather and rocket fuel mixing. We have procedures in place every step of the way to ensure safety, then a facility decides to build a "lightning arrest system" to protect the building and the spacecraft. Nasa has to study it and rule what work is acceptable and when, if bad weather is imminent.
This particular facility just had their LA system certified and it was a little unclear what work could be performed. Add in that the techs doing the work only speak French, my brain is a little frazzled.

Still at "Earth's Premier Spaceport" but the Frenchies have done fueling ops in French Guiana and they confirm things are better in the good ol U S of A.

So the little clamps I made yesterday; made two sets. The Engineer stopped by and said they look great and that's excellent that I made two sets because there are two valves
Younger guy...lot of people don't understand it's easier to make multiples of parts rather than two today then two next week.
I forgot the little angle on the edge as shown on the right so I did those on the belt-mill in the weld shop:anonymous:

For the first time in 11 years I went to our monthly surplus sale. That place is an absolute madhouse but I scored a $10 desk for the kids apartment. :D

If I had access to a monthly surplus sale -- let's just say it probably wouldn't be a good thing...

    Need a bigger garage!

You probably wouldn't be interested in the 1960 JD 330 Tractor, then.
