I recently started getting a weird noise that I would describe as a house fan blade hitting something. It is repeatable but not consistent. It does not happen while driving, only when at a stop. Shifting into neutral makes it go away. shifting back into drive the sound repeats, but not always. It drives and shifts fine. Fan spins freely without any noise & is not hitting anything. 2016 Sport 4x4.

    Thoughts?

Inspect the engine and transmission mounts, something might be loose/broken/falling apart allowing the engine to shift around.
Also carefully inspect the fan shroud for marks from the fan.
