I remember when the battery was stored on a shelf dry, you added acid and charged it for an hour. I then worked at a Walmart for a short time we had the type now the Maxx had a 3yr free replacement and a additional 2-3 yr pro-rated warranty. What a change from 1975, then in 2007 both for a year each to now. The best warranty I seen with the stuff we supplied was 7 yrs. Other wise I spent most of the time working with doors and windows.

Wife had a Lexus RX 350 years ago. I knew the battery was failing when it would just barely crank and a day or two later it died completely, luckily while the RX was in the garage. I called Lexus and they sent someone out with a new battery in like 30 minutes. They guy spent 10 minutes swapping out the battery and the next half-hour apologizing and explaining how heat causes batteries to fail prematurely.

If anyone has noticed batteries have gotten alot lighter in recent years. The lead plates are thinner hence they are eaten away faster causing them to fail. But they have not reduced in price just longevity.

A little something every chance we get.
Just remember, the only thing a battery was originally put in a car for, was for the starter. We ask a LOT more of them each passing year.

For those interested, here are the drips. The 1/2 GPH, NEW 2 GPH, 1 GPH. Bigger veggies got 1 GPH, herbs got 1/2 GPH. Now, all the same.
My biggest issue is them clogging. So the new ones are 'self cleaning", and we'll see how that goes! I can easily program shorter run durations. No, rhe star shaped center isn't a vent, like I thought.

So, all done with stuff, and I decided to wash the truck, instead of 0 Dark Thirty in the morning, before the San Antonio C&C.
There was NOTHING on the radar. 10% chance for anywhere in our area.
    Soon as I got home....

And there you have it Alan @wanna taco , GM & Ford have agreed to adapt to the Tesla charging system as standard. On the news tonight.
Dominos will fall in line, and I didn't even have to join an American Standards group again!

So my question if anyone knows/has experience does the charger come with an electric car or is it extra. I get you would have to set up on your own, But wondering if it is part of the cars purchase price.

All electric cars come new with a slow charger, capable of charging only enough to go for groceries.

I thought the slow charger would fully charge overnight. I don't know, just what I've heard...

This latest news is good for everyone. Glad I haven’t bought my chargers yet, as it looks like there will be an option on which plug comes with a new charger, the CCS or the NACS (Tesla). Right at the moment, you can get a NACS adapter, but not the other way around.

All factory chargers are supposed to capable of full overnight charging. Some are likely better than others. As someone said, "this too shall pass"

Good morning all. Have a great day.
I'm helping present colors at the opening of the Special Olympics here in town with the 4th degree K of C in a couple hours. Should be a good day for it. Not as hot for the athlete's.

    Morning all:
Been a long time since I heard mention of the K of C. Just up the street from where I live the K of C had built a brand new building, maybe in the late 50's or early 60's, that was active for a while and then vacated for years, maybe 10-15 years ago the Township bought it and turned it into a park. They maintain the building and the grounds, but I don't think the township even uses the building for anything.
