    Nice!

Mine was a dud, no wifi or bluetooth interfacing from the mIcRoChIp. Maybe it's coming in a firmware update over the 5g

What did you get? Pfizer or Moderna? I got Pfizer and felt like garbo after the second shot.

Surely that’s coming in a future update. Probably needs better 5g coverage first though to push the updates, it doesn’t exist around here unless I goto a big city lol

Pfizer. I figure even feeling like garbage for a day or two is better than getting the rona and feeling like garbage for way longer or worse

Nice truck. How are you liking the 5.29s? I only have 285/70r17s but scheduled to get Yukon 5.29s that are currently on back order. I have a camper shell and a crap ton of weight when I'm loaded up. OVTune is next and will get an update once I get the 5.29s.

Awesome trip pics and nice copilot mod. Was that an engagement or wedding ring? Either way congrats.

A few years back I crossed country from N. GA to the Grand Canyon with my then 10yr old daughter and then up to Zion and Capital Reef returning home through Denver on I-70 after a stop off at Turquoise Lake. Loved Zion. Hit Grand Teton and Yellowstone with the family renting an RV out of Denver in 2019. Glacier NP is on my bucket list. I'm starting to think about a way to get out there in my truck while taking advantage of working remotely and not breaking the PTO bank. I already have AK and Jackson Hole trips planned with the family so maybe it won't happen this year. Since I came back on I-70 last time my current thinking is hitting I-90 West and will be looking for some stops like Badlands NP. When I start seriously planning I'll create a thread and solicit your input if you don't mind. Of course anything you want to dump here, or DM, would be great also.

Hey! Sorry about the delay, work has been nuts.

Engagement, although I assume we'll use it for the wedding as well. It's an old family heirloom.

I love the 5.29s. With the 315s and a heavy truck it really makes a difference. Highway cruising is way better, and the lower speed pickup feels much better. I also have a "custom" OVTune for the 5.29s and AGM charge settings.

Hit me up whenever! We've got a family place out in Park City, UT so I've been hoping to use that as a home base for some trips out west. Glacier/Yellowstone/Badlands are all awesome. Not a ton of truck-able stuff, but well worth the trip and regular camping anyway. Hit up Glacier before we melt all of 'em, haha. Devils Tower is close to Badlands as well, and is worth a stop. I climbed there a few years ago and had a blast, but it's cool to hike/camp around either way.

Finally! Of course I need to fix some things yet (different rod ends for the coilovers) but otherwise it's all good!

It's been a while since I updated anything on here -- nothing super exciting has happened with the truck. I'm saving up to swap my bumpers to Coastal Offroads High-clearance front and rear and trying to decide if I want to go with steel or aluminum. The steel would be nice for the ease of construction [Coastal ships their bumpers unassembled and require welding], but the aluminum would be nice for the added lightness.

I'm also finishing up some drawings to change my RTT carrier for something a bit lower so I can park in the garage with my RTT attached. I'm planning on building a half-height topper that allows me to run the RTT at just a bit over cabrack height, or take it off for commuting. CVT makes a cover for the tents that doesn't have the hump for the ladder, which is great as it removes about 4" of height. I'll just keep the ladder in the bed and attach it with quick-release pins when we've got the tent up.

I added a DDI fire extinguisher mount in the cab -- I like the way the front seat is a bit higher and supports the back of my hamstrings during longer drives.

I've got a bucket of JDF things that I want but probably don't really need, although the rear end of the truck needs some love. I get some decent bouncing with an empty bed while driving and it'd be nice to take care of that. The steering rack is next on the list to be replaced, and I'm not sure what to do with it -- I'd really like a tundra rack for it but I'm worried about the increased turn radius. I'll go get some measurements and see how much more it really increases though.

We've got a wedding in October and a few house projects to finish, but after that I'm spending some more time focusing on the truck. Maybe I'll hop in a welding class at the local tech college so I can start working on those projects myself.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who models up their Tacoma and everything on it. Makes laying it out and getting your setup dialed so much easier and precise. Looking good. For what its worth, I originally ordered a steel rear swingout from Coastal, but after receiving it and really thinking about it and looking at it.. as much as I liked the simplicity and the cost due to it.. it was just a little too basic for me. Now having the BAMF rear.. with the fold down tables, position lock pins, and some other little features, I'm glad I spent the extra. The Coastals are still very nice bumpers though.. I just wanted the features for our camping needs.

Yeah, I go back and forth on that part. I like the simplicity of the Coastals but not all of it -- I prefer the position lock pins myself, and I'd probably swap their system out for those. It would be nice to have the swingouts a bit more removeable like the ones I have now are.

I think a lot of that part will depend on if I get myself a welder here. If I do, all bets are off because now I can modify the swingouts to be exactly what I'd like.

That was my plan as well.. add tables, modify what needed to be modified. But there just wasnt enough room for adding the things I wanted. They keep everything nice and tucked close.. which I like and can appreciate, but wouldnt allow me to add what I wanted. The BAMF swingouts are easily removeable and its symmetrical so you can swap everything from side to side. Just sharing the comparisons I found along the way.

Definitely! I really like those BAMF ones because they're super modular as well. I wonder if they'd sell me just the swing out parts...

hmmm.. maybe. but the other half of the pivot assembly is already in the bumper side. I just had to mount the swing arms and install hardware through the pivots.

Added a daily driver to get to work. It's 70 miles each way, 3x a week. This is far more fuel efficient...right?
