I don’t see how it will work. I need a trap. So I need distance from the center or distance from the wall to place the trap.

Yeah you're looking for a double wye. You can try the big box stores, but you will have better luck at plumbing supply places.

I usually start from the fixed drain and worked back. So, install the trap, and figure out where to put the down pipe. The P trap can twist and turn as needed. In your case you could place it to the side inline with the down pipe. One trap arm will be longer than the other but that isn't a problem.

Plug the left side horizontal T on yours and run a T above the ptrap on right.

The guy who cut holes in my load bearing wall? :)

I am still holding out hope for dual traps. That sounds like a value add to me for dual baskets. Otherwise there is nearly no point vs one drain.

just glue it, don't post pics, and hope it holds.

it's always legal if no one sees it!

looks like a Y and having 3 characters vs 1 on a bill of materials is less of a chance of error, same reasoning that a T is tee

Start at the wall. Put the trap in place and swing it to the left. Put the dual riser piece in to the trap. Cut the left horizontal pipe so it fits into the left side of the riser. Now your right side will be short of the riser. Add a 1 1/2 slip pipe the the right side. Cut that to length where it goes into the right side of the riser. I'm to lazy to draw it up so hopefully your good with written instructions. lol

Had to replace my pool pump today. For some reason the don’t come with electrical cords. So I bought a replacement one and going to hook it up it doesn’t have the gold and silver screws. Just has these two plugs that say L1 and L2. The old motor doesn’t say anything on it. And looks totally different. Anybody know which one is live and neutral?

L1 and L2 are used on 240 volt motors, each line is 120 volts giving a total of 240 Volts. If the old pump was 240 it doesn't matter which hot line goes to which post. Also code calls for the white line to be marked with tape or sharpie to indicate that it is not a neutral line.

It’s a 1hp same as the old one I took out. Plugs into 110 outlet.

    nope, need the model number.

i've hooked up a number of pool pumps.

    there's 120 only, 120/240 auto-switching, 120/240 manually-selected. instructions are different for each one.
