I’m changing the front brakes on my Camry. I don’t normally mess with brakes (because I don’t usually keep cars long enough to change them), but after reading up I think it’s easy enough. A few questions though…

I bought new OEM rotors and pads, most people clean the new rotors before putting them on with brake cleaner. I don’t really love brake cleaner fumes, can 90+ IPA be used for this purpose? Seems like I’ve seen people use it this way, and there should only be light residue on a new rotor.

There’s some conflicting information about where to put shim grease. Should I put it on back of the pad and the back of the shim?

Should I put the rubber grease (same as pins) on the pad ear/tab/track?

    Thanks!

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I never used and cleaner on new rotors just removed the surface rust.

Hi temp brake grease on metal to metal wear parts .
