Has anyone relocated the USBs from under the armrest to the back seat?

My go to tutorial is Classy/s video, but he has the 12v in his armrest.

That looks like a lot of work for something a battery pack can do

I like the idea in theory, but I have that 6-way center armrest storage divider and just keep a 6ft lightning cable & USB-C cable plugged in & coiled up in the section that aligns with the USB ports. Zero work and easily accommodates anybody in the vehicle. The only tiny hassle is aligning the cables in that little recessed pass-thru channel to allow the armrest to sit flush when closing it.

I don't mind the effort to gain utility from existing infrastructure.

That's smart. I have the same 6-way storage divider and the usb ports are shrouded and inaccessible. That's why I wanted to relocated to rear. Gain some utility out of existing infrastructure.

Makes sense if you don’t mind the effort. We have the same end game, just different methodology.

This is what I did also. Plugged the USB cable in before installing the divider and just held the cable up and out of the way while I slid the divider into place. All you need to do is unroll the cable when you want to charge something.

I also got one of these and keep a USB-C cable in the glove box for the Mrs.
