Differential drop

    Curious what the purpose of a differential drop is for, and if someone can chime in, is this something I should do on a 23 sport with the TRD lift installed.

    It helps keep the cv axles at a shallower angle.
    That way the boots don’t fail prematurely.
    I don’t think the drop is necessary, and that it can pose a bigger issue.
    It drops the diff down lower than the cross member.
    If you smack the diff hard enough on an object, it smashes the oil pan.

    If it’s the factory TRD lift, I would not worry about it.
    I would not add the diff drop.
