I’m going with a group in mid September to do the Rubicon, most of us are fairly experienced in trail wheeling and recovery, but my question is this, with a dclb wheelbase, I’ve recently destroyed my driveline for highway use, but at speeds below 45 mph it’s fine. How feasible is it to keep the old shaft, swap it out with the good one at or near the trailhead, then when finished with the days on the trail, throw the good one back on. I’m looking for some challenges I might be missing here that would make this a bad idea.
