I read this article today, and this just seems completely bizarre to me on many levels.

    Short summary:
A journalist asks an AI platform for a quick summary of a court case, but instead of providing an actual summary, the AI makes up a story and implicates a real (but completely innocent person) and falsely states that they were accused of embezzlement. The journalist publishes the story, and the real person, who had nothing at all to do with the case sues the AI platform for libel.

    Story:

It seems weird to me that the journalist isn't sued for publishing an unverified account. And also that AI seems to be equating research data with made up things that resemble research data, and sees no distinction between the two.

I feel like things are about to get a lot weirder in general, the next few years.

I read that an AI program passed the CA Bar a couple of weeks ago, which wasn't surprising. What was surprising was how it did it so quickly.

AI stuff is kinds scary y’know I think it’s going to be a lot like the internet if you think about it it’s 50/50 it’s good when u use it for the good things and all but there the bad that it gets used for too and I think AI will be the turning point honestly it will be good at first (Like everything else) but when your completely dependent on technology to think and do everything around you at some point ....it might get bad real fast if there’s a glitch in the system ..example I mean seriously cars that drive themselves lol how’s that working out if a virus or even a simple rat gets in your wiring and goes to Chew town..?
