An epic adventure of two trucks to a remote beach south of Bahia de los Angeles and north of San Rafael…After driving about an 1.5 hours to this beach. We decided the trail that brought us to the beach was to long around, and decided to try to take a shortcut across the “flats” , first truck was immediately overtaken by the mud, and so we tried pulling the truck out with the second truck… that wasn’t happening.. this is happening in August, so the weather was against us… after about an hour decided to drive back to BDLA and get some help from my buddies dad and another truck to help us..along the way back to BDLA we ran into some guys working on the roads, decided to ask if they could help with a tractor, they said no to the tractor but yes to helping us dig!(they were compensated nicely, about 250 usd each) We make our way back to the location with help and a second truck, after hours of pulling and digging,we finally get the truck out and limp the three trucks home. We were exhausted but thrilled the truck was out and no real damage done… you have to love Baja adventures….

So glad you got that truck out!! Some great memories there over a couple of cold ones that's for sure! Seriously considering getting a winch now. Maybe one in a cradle type of thing to connect to a tow hitch.

There’s a 80s f250 diesel 4wd with a cradled winch for front and rear switchable in our lives now , literally after that happened buddies dad was like we need something a little more serious…lol

this is my buddies dad favorite story to talk about , we love a good shit show…

The biggest catch to a winch in a cradle on the rear is the MASSIVE gauge power cables you have to use for that long of a run to reach the rear.
