Let's See Your Dogs!!

The other day, this handsome devil chased down a mockingbird (?) in the back yard. He cornered it right in the back corner of our yard/fence.


Wifey & I noticed an awful lot of noise coming from the backyard, peeked out the window, Fen had the bird on the ground, just barking madly at it.
Bird had its wings splayed out(making itself look bigger? I don’t know). Squawking back at Fen….
Meanwhile, 2 other mockingbirds were taking turns dive bombing Fen on his head, trying to help out their buddy.

wife runs outside and grabs Fen, drags him inside. The bird on the ground(still alive) doesn’t move. I imagine he was a bit stunned.
We give the birds about 10 minutes or so before we decide to check up on them.
I walk out and the birds are all gone.

Fen now stalks the rear doors of the house, vigilantly patrolling for those pesky birds.

my last 2 dogs weren’t anywhere near as fast as this guy.

Luna our grand puppy I s needing a little extra assurance with our son being deployed. Hopefully 6 months will go by quickly

 

Santino rides everyday in my Tacoma Truck. Rain or shine, 7 days a week. 365 days a year. He's 13 years old now so I ramp him in and out of the truck. He's a real trooper.

Nothing like a Lab for sheading.

 

Pfft. I used to have an Akita. When it comes to shedding - labs are amateurs.

Akitas and Huskies have gone PRO.

 

And that pile of lab shed is nothing. Kimo sheds, in fact he needs a good furminating. English Labs often have these nice thick coats that blow out during shedding season (December to the end of November). So glad Kimo is a light shed...
