Realized I should have posted in the 5 Lug forum…

    Hello all,

I recently purchased a 2006 reg cab, 2WD, 5spd Tacoma with 70k miles and a Toyota-replaced frame. It’s mechanically sound but does need (or deserve) some cosmetic improvements.

I’ve enjoyed learning about the truck during my first couple weeks of ownership and have already used the 5 lug forum to find some answers.

One thing I haven’t been able to determine is why there’s a fair amount of radiant heat near my right foot while driving. There’s a black plastic part to the right of the accelerator pedal that is almost hot to the touch. Any ideas (see second pic).

    Thanks, Ryan

Cosmetically, I would replace the stock wheels/tires with something bigger.
