    Hey Y'all,

Wanted to get some additonal opinions on a suspension refresh/upgrade to my 03 TRD SR5. The truck is a daily driver and the worst it sees are rougher FS and BLM roads. I estimate I'm carrying an extra 500 pounds consistently with topper and etc. Thinking Bilstein 5100s and OME 880 coils fit the bill.

Main question is in regards to the leafs in the back. Can I get away with an add a leaf or with the extra weight should I swap the whole pack?

Comparing rust on the current leafs to the rest of the under carrage it looks like they were swapped with the warrenty replacement of the frame by the previous owner around 80k ago and are starting to look a bit, well, tired.

    Cheers!

Short term you can get away with an AAL. 1 year, MAYBE 2 depending on the mileage you put on. At least that was my experience with adding a leaf to a sagging pack. If you want something to hold up, consider a new pack.

Thanks for that! Sort of what I figured. Poking around a bit more, seems like the 5100s might be overkill given that I'm not really interest in the lift and more just a refresh. I'm assuming a new heavy duty leaf pack Will bring the rear end back in line with the stock height in the front and that bilstein 4600s should then do the trick.
