A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
So I have been stocking Craigslist for an older g1 for a long time. I won't post pics until I drive out to pick her up next thursday after work. It's a 16 hour one way. I plan to tow it back with my G3. I'm going to sell my g2 for cash to upgrade. She's super "minty" so I should be able to really rebuild the new to me 1991 with cash. First up is the gear box and clutch.

Wish me luck. Hopefully next Saturday you will see me towing her home. I've owned 2 G1s when I was a younger man. I'm looking forward to rebuilding this one with my sons. One of whom can already drive MT at 9.

Old clutch 1 owner (me). Taken yesterday.

    I just realized a 1991 is not a 1st gen. My apologies.

I'm more excited about that old truck then I am my 3rd gen. It was a creature of necessity. My boys simply don't fit in an access cab anymore. Otherwise, I'd probably never got a g3

Plus at 46 it was time for a good mid life crisis. I figure rebuilding an old toyota beats a convertible

Holy shit I never expected this reaction from my wife. She's usually pretty fun. But she took one look at this truck and I'm telling you she is fucking pissed.. Fair enough this is toyota number 5 or so

Boys and I will be picking it up alone.. we leave tomorrow after work
