So planning on installing Cat shield to prevent theft on my newly purchased used Tacoma. I've been watching several youtube installs. All of them use a cross brace from outer frame rail to rear transmission mount. Crawled under my truck before ordering and noticed that I don't have those cross braces. I can see frame rail mounting points for cross brace, but no mounting points on rear transmission mount. Any ideas? I have a 2013 DBL Cab Long Bed TRD - off road 4x4 tacoma. Should I be worried? Appears that these were never installed. Should I tap the transmission brace and install bracing? Are there cat shields that don't use these mounting points? thanks in advance.
