It is just repinning the 4th ECM plug which is in your cab harness. To the 2jz ECM inputs.

You have the correct schematics for all the vehicles involved in the swap ?

    One wire at a time.

I am sure the drive shaft front flange will need changed and the length adjusted.

For your driveshaft needs talk to DriveshaftPro.

Where’d you manage to find that engine? That’s a swap I’m debating, though on my Datsun not my truck. Hard to find the GTE variant for a good price in the states.

You’re gonna have a hell of a time wiring all that and integrating it into the Tacoma body harness, I’ll tell you that much.

2jz swapped, Manual swaped, Raptor lined and much more.
So the wiring from the 2jz to the Tacoma may be doable but eventually you will be changing it over to a Haltec ecu. I don’t know what your budget is but I do not regret get Haltec harness and computer. The drive shaft is something that is really easy to take to a drive shaft shop and lengthen or shorten. You just have to bolt everything in place and measure it.

Without knowing all the years involved i have no Idea .

Hunt for Copies of Toyota`s Electrical Wiring Diagrams for all vehicles involved

Perhaps digital copies or hard copies.

Buy time on All Data down load everything you need.

Or Toyota TIS system your going to pay for what you need.

All part of doing any swap I have all this before I touch anything and Have the engine to be swapped in on the stand.

You might find someone to build what you need but it will not come cheap.

Good luck your going to need it.

At this point going After market might be the OP`s best option .

Once and done less chance of more mistakes.

    thanks for your input.

From what I’ve researched, you can get the block/ bottom end out of any car with the GE and put a GTE head & components on it. Its pricey but you can still buy an OEM GTE head from Toyota. Depending on the power you are chasing, the block can be modified to install oil squirters (standard on GTE blocks). Im told by people much more versed in the JZ than I, its not critical unless 5-600+ hp is the goal.

I got it in an online auction but definitely wasn't cheap either. hope it won't be too bad since the engine is the same year and still a Toyota it should be fairly simple to transfer diagrams from one another in theory lol

You spent the money on a 2jz so you must be serious, talk to these people, Tweak’d Performance, look them up on internet you will find them. They wire up 2jz to fit in just about anything, they also do 1uz, their hobbies are drift cars, they can be tough to get ahold of, keep trying, tell them your goals and they will recommend a course of action. Spend some time dealing with two 25yr old engine harnesses, broken plastic connectors, corroded wires and factory computers with burnt capacitors and you'll get a better understanding.
