Does anyone have a link or part numbers for the airbag / cradles suggested by Kimbo for a Tacoma?

I would just search for the Firestone version for your model tacoma. You may find some deals as you search.

Picked up #334 this week and spent a couple nights up in the Mammoth Lakes area. Thanks to everyone on this thread for answering a ton of questions, and sharing all your builds. See y'all out in the wild!

Cut another hole in the Kimbo. We are about to hit the road with Starlink and I wanted to be able to bring a power cord into the camper without going through the window or door, minimizing mosquito invasions. This would also be helpful with a WeBoost or any other item you wanted to power outside. I had to Dremel the end of this RV shore power bulkhead. It's a very similar look to the brand name NOCO one which is on the opposite side. Used a little sealant on the outside too. The spot is hidden by the cushion inside.

With the cutout I made a little plug when not it use. Currently not all the way in.

What's everyone doing for steps on their rigs? Picked up one of those little Camco step stools, but it's not tall enough to be a long term solution. Have been down a rabbit hole this morning looking at a ton of options: Brophy scissor steps, folding hitch carriers (which would be useful for firewood etc), Twistep, etc etc. Just need something for myself - and more importantly the pooch - to help gettin in and out.

interior fabric remodel in process...currently looking for a suitable fabric.

Removed large panel and the glue has turned to dust and the fabric seems to have shrunk about 1/2".

    Not ideal.

Scissor stairs are awesome and worth the investment especially with pups. I just have this painters ladder that works well and the pups can sill hop up it. Just have to put your foot on it. A lot of surface area to use too.

Can confirm that 3M 78 does work. Come out like silly string so careful cause it’s definitely industrial grade. I just peeled down the corners and shot some in there.

Not sure but it doesn’t eat the foam. Pretty quick to tacky too.

You could try a thin layer of cork on one panel instead of using fabric. I think you'd get better adhesion and it would be a more durable surface.

I've had some headliner options sitting in my cart for awhile. When the time comes this may work out or something similar.

Cooking is important to me and I like the flat surface and elbow room you've created. I'm curious to know how you've used the space on the opposite side of the camper.

Hope everyone is having a great summer or has plans soon. We just got back from a two week trip stopping in Steamboat during monsoon season, high winds in Grand Mesa, cool spots in Gunnison, and finishing in Crested Butte where I used to live.

We battled the rain, mosquitoes, wind gusts that were hitting 50 mph that ripped out front window struts apart. Fortunately all is good and Colin at Kimbo called me back and gave me the details on ordering replacement parts. Ordered today for $24. Perfect. We were facing a safe direction, so I thought but anything over 30 I’ll probably keep shut. The window is still very much functional just have to wedge something in there to keep it open until the parts come in.

Starlink worked great on this trip and my GF was able to work easily throughout CO. My 200AH lithium was plenty since it only drew about 5-6amps. Most of the time we were still charging with Starlink running.

Wood stove got some time too since we were above 10,500ft and temps were in the 30’s. Pups were loving it all especially the break in an Airbnb for some sofa time.

Truck did great although the leafs are getting pretty squeaky with all the dust we ran into. Plan on replacing spark plugs this summer and ball joints this Fall to be safe. Rolling around 70,000 miles. Would be nice to copy some of the shelving and storage ideas here. Awesome stuff to inspire down the road.

The awing was great even in high winds since I was able to anchor it to a couple or trees at one point. In mild winds the poles did really well. A lot of versatility with this setup.
