Here a couple of pics of what looks like rusty water spoiling the paint under two of my handles. The surface where the discoloration is still feels smooth to the touch. Anyone know if there is a simple way to fix this?

    thanks...

Buff and Wax? I've detailed cars in the past and been able to remove paint defects such as that. No idea on a permanent fix/preventative measure though.

You want to watch them disappear……. Spray this (not in direct sunlight sunlight) let it dwell 4 minutes and rinse off with a pressure washer

disclaimers this stuff smells like ass but works like crazy. It’s safe too. I use it (among other things) before I ceramic coat.

Update: thanks @Halloween for the tip!
I used another brand of Iron Fallout remover with amazing results. Washed the truck, sprayed a bunch of this on the door handles, and watched as the purple liquid drained away. Stains are gonzo!
