DD Elite backlight wiring question?

    2018 Blue 4x4 TRD Sport Premium
    2018 TRD. I purchased the DD Elites with the backlight harness. Not yet installed. Today I installed OEM LEDs headlights with the FCB harness. After watching DD install video, specifically the backlight wiring, should I follow process for 2020+ or pre 2020? I checked the FCB harness and there is indeed a #4 wire as shown in the video.     Either way should work. The backlight is just looking for voltage. So when the DRL's or side markers are turned on, that will send the same voltage to the backlight, and light those up too.
