My first pre Tacoma. But I'm familiar with the 22RE.

This should be a lot of fun. Other then a shot clutch she ran well. Has less rust then my 07 sport.

    670 mile road trip.

I will totally hit you up for advise. I'm going 2 need alot. We got home at 8:00 pm. Unloaded it. Parked the g3.. thanked her for her services... then we drove it around for a bit. I was able to get every gear to engage. But the clutch piston is not working (it was just replaced), my guess, wrong part or faulty install.

    Thank you for the encouragement...

I noticed 2 drops of motor oil on the truck carrier so it's game on

    First Good luck !!

Only Aisin parts( Quality now who knows) for clutch hydraulics when you change one change both and look at the rubber hose they tend to balloon with age.

If have had big chain hydraulic parts fail in a week.

I am guessing you mean the slave cylinder as both The Master and Slave have pistons.

A poor connection can draw in air and not leak fluid . An internal O ring failure in either part might not leak fluid.

What did your pedal feel like?

Check the clutch bracket for being cracked and the firewall.

    Between the 4x4`s Celica`s quite a few 22re engines.

9 year old and I drove it about 50 miles today. Who puts glass packs on a Toyota? I guess people from Montana do. Motor runs great. I drove her up to my local auto parts store. I collect hotwheels and they all know me there. But I was shocked when I saw this. Apparently they ordered them for me.

Yesterday was my 46th birthday. I have two amazing sons... Best fathers day in the history of fathers day.

It might be a midlife crisis. But at least it's a 4 wheel drive mid life crisis

I'm already discovering the unique personalizes of the various owners over its life. Someone about mid life did a refresh, did it well. The last owner had it 12 years. He was a kid when his dad bought it for him. He's a young dad now. He put things like speakers in it. No real work. Can you blame him? When I was 23 I trashed a taco too.

Maybe you will find out they never bench bled the master and it won't cost you a dime more then what the brake fluid does.

Or, it's leaking down the firewall...........

    Happy Fathers Day!!

Better a Toyota 4x4 then the normal Mid -life crisis.

The 18 year old bimbo Mistress some sort of European sports car that needs to hide depending how high you are in feet. Maybe all but the summer those few in weeks July and August .

The Truck take it one day at a Time unless you need a reason to be out of the house.

But for a woman I would have moved back to the mountain west.

    Good Luck!!

Give some thought to the steel timing chain guides.

Look close at the timing chain cover if the guides fail the covers like to rub through.

Maybe a new oil pump while things are apart.

    Happy wrenching!!

Ha ha Ha that is a real hard call to make !!

That was my game plan now I have all those extra vehicles and parts.

A few show interest in a package deal then vanish .

As for AC parts if you plan on adding AC maybe the compressor bracket I would not trust 30 year old parts.

Old windshields get very brittle and tend to break easy. That was an expensive ER trip.

Ouch.. I completely missed that the truck has zero emissions parts. Ouch... My first rebuild, so I'm not going 2 beat myself up. Next time I'll inspect it better. But I still would have paid 4k knowing what I know now. The guy did a really good job of removing it. All the seals on the caps are good.

Started buying all the evap parts today, about 50/50 salvaged and new.

New seat cover makes this thing 100% more enjoyable until I can find a better seat.
Mean time I've started sanding the shit out of this thing.i stupidly started at 400.. dumb dumb. Redo tomorrow on lunch break at like 100.
