Yeah I'm kicking myself for not bringing my camera with aside from my phone. I still get sketched out by the vibrations on the bike, especially offroad, even though its mirrorless. Plus dropping it and whatnot..

Crazy beautiful area though, and a surprising amount of rideable trails with a good mix of gravel/dirt roads, UTV/ATV double tracks, and single track.

Looks like the weather is supposed to dry up a little. I hope it kinda holds moving into my days off. I took my next hitch of nights off so I'll have 21 days off starting Wednesday. I'd love to get the bike through it's first oil change, get the mods on it, get the bed rack and RTT on the Taco, paint up my sliders and get them on, do some kayaking and camping....

How about all you two wheeled maniacs? Big rides planned? Fun times? I'm stuck in my little bunker for 11 more hours and need some vicarious experiences to enjoy! :)

Oh, believe me. I earn it.

I don't blame you for taking a bit of a riding break. Did all those miles bring up nags or niggles on the bike you want to address beyond the chain maintenance bit? Have you decided if you are going to get an oiler?

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Went to check out the bike. Think I’m gonna be picking it up Monday. Looked good, took a few kicks to start up but I expected as much. Chain and sprockets were rusty so those will eventually be getting replaced, one of the front forks is leaking from sitting so long, and I think a new front tire will probably be a good idea. But overall ram great through all the gears and idled well

You ever do those projects where it just fits perfectly and works perfectly? This was one of those for me. Put a universal “headrest” molle panel on the groms existing subframe bosses. The spacing between those perfectly lined up with the spacing on the panel slits, then the molle spacing lines up perfectly with a Kriega us-5 bag, and I have three other small bags I might put on instead. So easy. I did it as a test run today but plan on filming a how-to tomorrow. I might weld up a small frame to reinforce the plastic panel, but that’s a maybe. Not bad for $20 in parts.
