I purchased your license plate DIR kit for my '22 Tacoma a while ago and it's been flawless. I saw a thread where a member used your harness to power aux backup lights. Does that require a different harness or is there a T-Harness type addition to the existing harness?

    Thanks for your time

You can just order a reverse T if you want. I don’t have a clean way to convert a DIR to DIR w aux output and it’d be a bit annoying to buy the same thing twice.

Technically I could make an upgrade kit with some DIY re-pinning skills needed but the DIR w aux uses heavier gauge than a standard DIR in my attempt to do excessive overkill, so I’d rather keep the two items independent and I’d rather not ask people to do surgery.

I could offer a no relay harness but I think the cost difference would be minimal.

Reverse T gets it done, just the load is on the reverse circuit and they come on even if it’s daylight and parking lights are off.

Man, thanks for such a quick response. I’ll have to give this some more thought.

If you really want a DIR w aux output maybe remove and clean your existing DIR and try to sell at a small discount off new? That’s totally ok by me. Some might be into a DIR but don’t want to pay full price.
