    Neglected Original
Checked compression today on my 95 3rz 2.7 with 270k miles
all plugs removed, throttle wide open
    Cylinder
    1 reading 225
    2 225
    3 220
    4 220
These seem rather high so guessing its the old gauge that I am using but at least they are consistent.
please correct me if this could be a problem or I missed something in my test

Been having issues per my last post with a persistent hard miss at over 2000 RPMs
My check engine light stays on but so far no one has been able to retrieve the codes.
My reader will fail, restart then give a green light and shows NO DTC
Local parts houses just get a fail and they state it is probably because of the crossover year on the OBDII and the changes that were made to the trucks between 95 and 96 models

Truck fires right up runs a moment , stumbles but keeps running just misses and no power under load, them is hard start once warm

    I have replaced

plugs- 2 sets of the same NGK that have run for last 15 years so far they carbon foul quickly
    air filter
    fuel filter
distributor cap and rotor - Dist. is NAPA after market replaced 7 years ago.
upstream 02 - aftermarket but kept old OEM as back-up
vacuum lines that were either cracked or felt brittle.

    have cleaned
    MAF
    EGR

luckily this is now becoming strictly my hunting truck so have time to get it up and running right
