I wish Ontario would drop the front plate I like putting fake ones on from places I’ve been. I got a ticket for having a Utah plate on the front…cop was was a real prince about it, 170 bones later :canada:

Big shout out to @armoured for the new-to-me bed mat and OE LED fog lights! Rarely drive at night so no need for hi-tech fogs, but the OEM incandescent fogs looked kind of sad with the LED headlights. Now it's all LED front (OE) and rear (VLED). :D

Also many thanks to @msgs350 for being such a gentleman and scholar. Was going to buy his fogs, but @armoured happen to have a set when I picked up the mat so I begged off and he totally understood.

I love this place... and its inhabitants. :headbang:

I went back to the factory paper cabin and engine filters. The K&N engine filter dried out too quickly and all the negative naysayers commenting about increased dust/dirt getting through to the engine bugged me out. That said my intake tube and throttle body were still clean after 8k miles. On the plus, the engine did breathe better on hotter days and seem to run a tad better. Can't say that fuel economy really changed though.

The K&N cabin air filter didn't work for me with my allergies. The factory paper one does a much better job. Nothing against K&N; I still like their products and if I lived somewhere other than the dustbowl/desert they'd probably be fine.

I have been meaning to try out the TRD intake flow accelerator piece with the paper filter and TRD catback.

How's that lift jack work with the Tacoma and the Swisstrax? Do you feel confident crawling under the truck to work on it or do you still supplement with floor jacks/jack stands? The older I get the less I enjoy crawling under vehicles to work on them. Maybe it's a sense of awareness. o_O

My '17 UtilityCab version did NOT come with any towing capability. I added a hitch and wired up a trailer lights outlet.
It's an MT so no need for transmission cooler.

Also, for those other posts - mine was built in Texas.

Just finished installing the CaliRaised LED Amber fogs. Pretty straight forward install and the wiring was a piece of cake.

I could be corrected, but I think the hitch receiver is standard in Canada.

My son has a V6 and a borla exhaust system. Sounds pretty strong and deep. Not sure what the deal is when driving. I'm sure when your young theloud drone is cool, as you get older it becomes annoying

Yep, crawling under vehicles gets a little more challenging the older I get. For quick work and inspections under the Tacoma I have a Magic Creeper. Super easy to use. Just don't walk on it... don't ask me how I know this. ;) Highly recommended.

I have the QuickJack 7000TL and the Light Truck Adapters. (Don't have to have the adapters... just depends on how high you want to lift it.) I've used them on all of our vehicles including a 1st Gen Tundra and they work great on the RaceDeck floors (love 'em!). Initially I did use these Torin jack stands for all of the reasons you mentioned... never can be too safe. I had a set of "normal" jack stands, the kind with three feet, and they did dig into the RaceDeck floor a bit. The Torin jack stands have a flat bottom, so no issues with them. I've used my floor jack on the RaceDeck floor with no problems too.

After working with the QuickJacks for a few years, I no longer use the jack stands. The QuickJacks have two height levels and once you've reached either one you can release the hydraulic pressure and they'll lock into place. They're very stable. Tons of demo videos on their website and YT. Bought them from Costco (easy returns). They have pretty good sales periodically. Also highly recommended! :)

That's just my folded up Extang bed cover. :) I wanted a BakFlip, but that one popped up locally for a great price. Had the BakFlip on our 2nd Gen Tundra and loved it. I liked that it was level with the bed plus it would fold all the way up against the back window giving full access to the bed. The Extang's a great cover, but if a nice used BakFlip shows up the Extang may be for sale. ;) If a used one doesn't appear soon, @Santana@Realtruck offered up a really good discount on a brand new BakFlip, so I may end up biting the bullet anyway. :spending:

Well that was probably TMI for your questions wasn't it?!

bought an SR5 4x4, wanted the fancy sticker, but didnt want to pretend like it was a TRD, despite me having basically turned it into a TRD sport at this point.
so instead of toyota racing development, its redneck evelopment. or retarded n determined, either one.
