I used to really like Newcastle Brown Ale, but Heineken bought it 20 odd years ago and ruined it.
Anheuser Busch had their American Brown Ale for awhile in the mid-aughties, but discontinued it.
The only thing they ever made that was pretty good


BTW...
Newcastle: 4.7% ABV
Old Brown Dog: 6.5% ABV

 

I had 2 of these ,they are good but I was ready for a nap .

I second both of these statements.
I do not like IPA's [too hoppy] and Newcastle used to be good..

 

Wife drove her friend home, they been poolside all day. I call and ask if she passed DQ yet. No.
I asked if they get me a chocolate brownie blizzard.
She said they were very busy. I said, yeah ibet every dad wants a brownie blizzard today

 

Yeah..uh...somehow a name of Old Brown Dog doesn't conjure a tasty brew...doesn't mean it couldn't be though!
