    Hey peeps,

A few months ago I wrecked my 04 single cab. Caused some damage to the driver apron, panel and hood. Took it to a shop where they replaced the body stuff and had another shop replace the driver joint and control arms. As well as the tie rods.

Now, after I’ve been driving the truck and things loosen up, when I brake and come to a stop and as the truck pitches forward and backward as I accelerate. There’s a pretty loud clunk. I would take it back to the shop, but I had it worked on 3 hours away in my hometown as it was much more affordable than where I live.

I called the shop and they’re super apologetic and are working with me to get it looked at. But, that all takes time and effort. Is there anything y’all can suggest I take a look at that may be a quick stand out fix? Such as tightening something’s that’s loose, etc.

    Thanks in advance!

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
What kind of mileage are we dealing with?

First unless your real hard with the braking and acceleration your truck should not be pitching.

Have You ever changed the coil overs or maybe just the shocks?

No special order here just how they popped into my head.

    Engine or Tranny mounts .

failed or missing bushings shocks /control arms I would inspect the front suspension and control arms.

    Toyota Control arms or aftermarket?

exhaust rubber hanger failed exhaust system banging around

    loose heat shields banging around

    Good Luck.

I get that thump when coming to a stop or starting. Not every tine but a lot. These are some of the things that pop into my head as well.

All good things to rule out listed above. I'll add a couple more that've caused the same on my truck:

    Toasted sway bar end links

    Dilapidated front differential mount bushings

    Skid plate bolt comes loose
