I had a very similar issue with mine. Called anytime camera and he told me to cut an additional wire. Cant remember which one but I had my head unit out when I called and it was a quick talk thru. Thought it was weird but he said some 2021s had similar issue, this was about a year ago. He was great on the phone and 100% fixed my issue.

If you dont have any luck over the phone I might be able to pull my head unit out and photo how mine is wired tomorrow. Instructions had cut certain wires for backup lines and something else if I remember right. The additional wire was not in his instructions but worked.

I have seen something online about cutting the white wire (and I did) but it’s closer to the camera not behind the head unit. I tried calling but it goes to voicemail. I even unplugged everything and put the factory unit back together as it was supposed to be and I’m not getting my rear camera to work.

Not exactly sure I took everything apart put it all back together and it started working also I was trying the camera without the ignition on and it wasn’t working but then maybe the ignition has to be on so between those two things I don’t know what actually worked but it works now.

My wires were just crisscrossed. But yours sounds like it’s something different. Not sure why yours is cutting in and out maybe check that your connections are solid?
