To answer your question: It's straightforward if you're at all adept at turning a wrench and following instructions. It is a fair amount of heavy lifting though. Additionally, help may be out there if you reach out to your regional forum here.

We cannot assess how easy or hard the task would be for you. I suggest watching one or more of the many YouTube videos on Tacoma shock replacement.

The stock truck will ride better off-road w/ 5100s. If I only had one thing that I could change on my truck, it would be the shocks. If I had two, 5.29s gears.

To answer your question, straight-forward. Purely a bolt-on process w/o the need to bend, weld or cut anything. AAL I had to grind and cut some parts of the stock leaf pack to install.

    I recently put a 2.5" lift with 75 tires for 3" total on a 2016.
I just wanted to beef it up a bit without having to cut or trim or replace too much.
Didn't need new control arms at 2.5"
An impact wrench and a couple good jack stands will be a necessity. Swaybar linkages can be a pain.
2.5" is a good height. I personally wouldn't waste my time or money going lower than 2.5"
Rear shocks are fairly easy if the top nut isn't rusted. If it is just cut it off.
You will need blocks or add a leaf along with shocks. I went blocks because add a leaf looked like more work. If I'm going to dig that deep I'll buy new leaves but they're still good.
Like the one guy said, There's a lot of helpful videos on youtube. Good luck

Thanks, I now have my eye on the Eibatch pro truck 2R with Reservoir and a Block for the back. Wen Soon hopefully, I hear the eibach will add more lift then the link I Original posted, so I been looking at that set up...

I measured my wheel wells and went off that. Idk what's correct but it worked. Started at 35" on front and 36.5 back driver and 36.75 back pass.(the lean)
1.5" front/back difference. Didn't want to lose all the rake so
1" front/back difference in lift left it with 1/2" rake. not 1.5". Truck sits flatter.
    (2.5" front 1.5" rear)
with the 75 tires it totaled 3" of lift.
    38 front 38.5 r.drive, 38.75 r.pass.

I've got 285/75's and a 2" puck in the front from previous owner. I would like to go to 1" or 1 1/2" in the front. I know it's pandora's box asking this but thought I'd give it a shot. #1) what would be the setting on the 6112 Bilsteen to achieve the real world height of 1 to 1 1/2"? 2) (here goes) what is the smallest lift for the 285's that I could have and keep the 285's ?
