Kinda new to this forum, been a member for awhile. Now I'm trying to improve my truck, 2017 Sr5 (poor mans Taco). Was looking at a lot of different builds and I finally seen something I want.

    285/75/17 (34)
Wanted to know what kinda suspension is recommended, Do I need a 2" or 3" lift for this build. I know about the CMC, and have already scheduled for it. Any other information would be helpful.

Lift won't change much for clearance, but ideally you should be looking at a heavier shock setup to work with the much larger and heavier tires. Which in turn will give you lift regardless.

There's loads of options you can go for. Here's a taste.

I'm always partial to the Bilstein 6112's and have a co-worker that runs it with their 34" tires and is very pleased with the cost to performance. Never had a complaint from a customer. Toytec is the oppposite and wouldnt recommend them.

Hooooolllddd on before you pull out your credit card.

Here is some reading material first for ya.

I won’t advise you what to get, as it depends on what you are using the truck for, Mall Crawling vs Soft Roading vs Rack Crawling vs Daily Rush Hour Crawling.

For me, on my 285/75/17 I’m running 2.5in lift, with a 3cm wheel spacer.
I had to cut / peel back the front inner fender liner due to the spacer, but no BMC.

Good read on those, very knowledgeable. I plan on running Fuel Rebel 17 with -12 offset and the 285/75/17. I have limited time to get everything done. I was at first gonna get the wheels and do testing for fitment.
