buddy of mine bought one of those in arvada like 5 years ago. Thing was MINT 1 owner, so so so clean. I couldn't talk him into the 2J manual swap unfortunately.

 

He apparently bought new fenders for me to hack up.
I feel like I'm building the truck all over again.

I did a sweet job welding those inner fenders back if I do say so myself, and I do. Those lines are as good as factory.
And this rain sucks.

 

I love the continued development of the multicolor patter. I hope you can get 2 more colors for the bed/tail gate aswell!

Had one last fuel issue, really didn't surprise me too much.
Petcock was leaking ever so slightly, just enough for about a drip every 8 hours, enough that I noticed it after a couple days. Non-rebuildable part except for the tank seal, it was coming from behind the valve and upon inspection the rubber grommet was torn. Prolly from turning it while the shit was passing thru from the tank.
HD no longer makes these, Ebay wants way too much for a used one. Bezo's had one for under $20.00 shipped to my door next day and I'll be damned if it ain't exactly the same.
The one in my hand is the old one. Same exact shape, finish, screws, etc...even had the same filter but less stained.

At this point the tank has been cleaned, flushed, crossover line replaced, valve to carb line is new, in-line filter installed, carb rebuilt, tuned, the fuel gauge is working and now a new petcock. Gas cap appears to be functional so I'll leave that for now.

 

After doing an oil change on little red, checking all her fluids, remounting the battery, unfucking the headlights and turn signals, remounting the bumper, fixing the fuel tank on the Dyna, mowing asshole tall wet grass....
I needed a decent meal.
Loin steak with cheese and bacon stuffed shrooms, taters with shroom stumps and bacon, corn on the cob. Now i need a nap before bed.

I kinda want this.

I don’t miss the 5VZ hooked up to the A340F, but maybe having a manual would fix that.
