BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I want to see if he notices a difference of any kind (and regrettably I don’t have stock in the company). MSD makes a coil, too. Id like someone’s review on the Accel coils, tooF443F4F7-EA42-4ED7-95F2-26621C0D3F32.jpg

Hey how are the larger tires working out for you? I have an identical taco and I've been tempted to put the same size tires on but Im a bit concerned about losing any already anemic power, and burning the clutch up trying to get unstuck in snow and the like.

Man I went crazy before sizing up with those exact concerns. I don't think I have the best senses in terms of noticing small differences when changing things on my truck. I've seen reviews from 2.7 guys saying the 265 tires made a huuge difference in power and that they regretted doing it. Me? Literally can't tell a difference. If someone replaced my stock tires with identical looking tires that weighed what the 265s weigh, I'm honestly not sure I would ever notice. But again I'm probably not the best example, because I'm sure it affects the trucks power.

Bottom line for me is that the truck has always felt anemic, stock tires vs 265s didnt really move the needle for me. That being said I picked the lightest weight while staying aggressive looking tire available at the time. The stock tires look so small and dinky to me I'll never go back.

which tires are you thinking about getting? It's a crazy rabbit hole

I've been pretty set on wildpeaks. But im not dead set. My understanding was the weight was an issue as well as wider tires having less torque on them too. I was pretty much ready to just put the stock size on when it came time for me.

There are t too many of us 3rd gen 5 spd people out there so good to hear from someone that it's not bad at all!

    Excuse to spend money? Hmmm

Get some lightweight wheels (rims) to improve the driving experience!

my SCS F5’s are only 18 lb, saving me 7lb per corner over stock.

or if you really have money to blow TE37’s are suuuper light, like 7lb

You’d be upgrading looks and performance

dude the 2.7 3rd gen AC stick shift is the coolest taco ever imo. I always love to see them getting praised on this site. And yeah I mean its all about what you value on the tire stuff. No real bad options! I went with the duratracs in C load (like 5lbs lighter per tire vs falken) and replaced my stock steel wheels with some aluminum alloys, so my net weight didnt really go up THAT much.

It's definitely a great little truck, if slow as balls with a touchy clutch. Looks like you got a more uptrim model than me, I managed to find the barest bones base ass model available, utility package with the only options i can tell being floor mats, 4x4 with the stick, and for some reason wheel lock lugnuts. I'm probably gonna try out the 265s on the stock wheels until I can find a cheap set of sx wheels and relegate my stock steelies to snow tire duty.
