Copy that! Headlocks suck… BJJ has taught me this.

ornamental beadlock would be just fine in these parts!! I’ll def keep that in mind.

I was in the same mind set as you and wanted more tire than rim without having to do CMC. Stuck with 16-inch with a set of Black Rhino’s that I can’t remember the name of (and the lady is out with the truck). We wrapped them with Falken Wildpeak AT3w tires, 265/75/16. Really happy with both after 12+ months.

I have the Wildpeaks on the stock OR rims. Seeing a wee bit more wear that I wanted at 30k miles…. But might give them one more go as I think the weight and alignment might be more to blame.

I've got the stock TRD Offroad wheels. Probably the nicest "stock" wheels Toyota makes outside of the TRD Pro / Trail Edition but I'm not a fan. They are minimally acceptable but I'm loving the inspiration here.

I felt the same way, 17’s just look too large in my opinion. Although going to 17’s does open up a whole new world of tire options and C load tires.

Started off with KMC Impacts 16x8 and 0mm offset wrapped in 265/75R16 Duratracs

    IMG_6795.jpg

Then ended up upgrading my suspension and going to 295/75R16 Open Country ATIII’s and needing a CMC and barely clearing my UCA’s.

    IMG_3358.jpg

It’s an expensive, painful, endless cycle.

Been happy with the wheels though and they’re inexpensive but a real pain to clean. If I was going to do it again I’d go with a 5-6 spoke design.
