Just under 600 rpm in D or 750 in P when it's warmed up.

900 even with AC on is a tad high.

Consider a throttle and maf clean with a battery disconnect at the end.

500-700rpm. On idle in drive or park.

If you are experiencing 900rpm is quite high. sounds like you may want to clean your butterfly valve.

I have P0101 even after replacing the MAF sensor. At the time I got the code, the MAF rate was around 4 lb/min @ around 2100 RPM.

Possibly. I would start with the easiest and cheapest troubleshooting then work my way up from there.

    Check the following:

Inlet to the Air filter box ensure no clogs or debris. That’s under the fender.

Air filter, ensure no debris or clogged filter.

    If all is good above.
    Do the following:
    Clean MAF sensor
    Clean throttle plate.
    check intake pipes for clogs.

If problem still occurs, you may have a failed MAF sensor.
I’m not sure if loose or failing timing chain would cause high idle RPM? Guys?

    Clean the throttle body first.
That code is set based on voltage seen at the ECU while idling or below 2,000 rpm.
An open or short in the wiring or connection could cause the code too.

Are you running an aftermarket air intake? If so that could be your P0101 problem.

    Good question.
His LT fuel trims are high 20%, and ST are near perfect @ 2100 rpm.

And is the MAF sensor OEM?
P0101 is a rationality code, it essentially means the actual mass airflow doesn't match the calculated mass airflow.
What is the MAF reading at a hot idle?
