2008 Tacoma TRD 4 door

Hello,

I am new to TacomaWorld, and wanted to see if I could get some help with the stock JBL subwoofer. I wanted to know exactly what speaker will fit into the stock OEM box, and I would like to re-use the OEM box. Basically take out the box, remove the blown JBL sub, and install? Alos, I would ilke to keep the OEM amp...just replace the sub woofer. I realize there might be some modifications to mount a new replacement, but thats ok. Any help is appreciated.

From my knowledge, there is one popular option to do what you want. It is https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P3SD48/Rockford-Fosgate-P3SD4-8.html?tp=111. Wired in series for 2 ohms. You could also look for others. With a 3.25” mounting depth and can be wired in 2 ohms.

I found the same speaker with 2 ohms? Do I need 4 ohms becausue the OEM amp is 4 ohms ? I was looking for "plug and play" and I dont mind wiring in series like you mentioned above.
