2023 V6 Oil Filter

    Toyota didn't develop the filter. A third party (like K&N) developed the filter, tested that it fits in the truck, then pays Toyota a large chunk of money to license the TRD logo.

    The TRD logo is your assurance the filter fits and likely won't cause engine problems within 5 yrs/60k.

    This is true,
    Amsoil/Royal Purple/VPRacing makes the same filter.
    It is what I have been using since 5000 miles.
    Amsoil is EA15K02-EA
    Royal Purple is 20-967
    VPRacing is VP-967


    I'm switching over to WIX 57047XP on my next oil change.

    Why just not get OEM filter? If you buy by the case, they are $5 apiece.

    Oil changes are usually at half a year intervals for me. Why not spend just a little bit more for a higher quality filter to match with the expensive synthetic oil I put in.
